Ayodeji Karim Mourns Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun Oba Balogun

It is with a heavy heart that I extend my condolences to our great people of Ibadan Land both home and abroad, the Ali Iwo Royal family, the revered Olubadan in council, the government of Oyo State, and the entire community of Ibadan Land, in particular the immediate family of our esteemed Royal Father, Oba Mohood Olalekan Isola Balogun Ali Okunmade II, who transitioned after a brief illness.

Throughout his lifetime, Baba, Oba Balogun exemplified unwavering commitment and excellence in his endeavors within public service, academia, and traditional leadership.

His departure represents an immense loss to our beloved nation, especially considering that we had recently celebrated only two years of his reign on the throne.

The profound wisdom exhibited by Baba, Oba Balogun will be deeply missed during this challenging period for our nation, may Almighty Allah grant us the strength and fortitude to navigate through this mourning period.

We find solace in Baba’s exemplary life and hold steadfast to the belief that he has transitioned to a better realm, guided by the Islamic principles he held dear.

May Allah grant Baba eternal peace in Aljannah.

Kaabiesi O, may your soul rest in peace.
