In the first chapter of the above storyline Akinola; In for the Development of Egbeda/Ona-Ara (I), I maintained, in specific, that, there should be equitable distribution of what belongs to both local governments making Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency. Principle of fairness, justice and equity in this modern political setting is needed for the sake of posterity and mutual inclusiveness.
Historically, the federal constituency has been favorable to both local governments, Egbeda and Ona-Ara, but obviously leaner to one than the other. And the need to balance the equation for fairness and justice once again has emerged. We do not have to go through years or calculations, they’re obviously obvious to all.
In the build up to that, searching for the suitor for that position within Ona-Ara Local Government, with love and support from Egbeda have been made easy with the interest of some noble sons and daughters of the local government, and with Akinjide Kazeem Akinola leading the interested ones.
Not only that he is leading those said to have expressed their interest in running for the position, though, all still hopefuls, but he has been displaying a high sense of ‘OMOLUABI’ and commitment to service and delivery for the development of the federal constituency; Egbeda/Ona-Ara, over the years. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola have repeatedly said, “if the journey is for the development of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, count me in, I am ready for the job that will lead to that development.”
In one of my recent conversations with him, the Rtd. Cptn. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola revealed that, it is not even about him becoming a House of Representatives member, but about the need to unite the two local governments on the principle of fairness, justice and oneness. And I queried him further, but he convincingly maintained his position and ended it with, “If our people in Egbeda Local Government are ready to give us all the support in respect of their fairness to us in Ona-Ara, why then should we let it slide away again.?
To be continue………
