A chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC, Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, has paid homage to the family of one of the leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Late Alhaji Ganiyu Alade.
Akinola in his humanitarian spirit and respect for late Baba Alade, described him as a father figure while he was alive.
Akinola while speaking with the widows of the late progressive leader explained the blossoming relationship he had with Baba during his impactful lifetime.
According to him at the residence of the late APC leader, Akinola further asserted that, “Baba’s death was a shocking one at that time. We had a good discussion on that fateful day while he was going to the progressive meeting at Oke Ogun part of the state.”

“Just like I have said in my condolences message then, he has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill by anyone in Egbeda LG and Oyo State as a whole. I pray that Allah will continue to be pleased with him, overlook his shortcomings and protect the families, relatives, associates and members of the communities he left behind, Akinola added.
Thanking and appreciating the Abuja-based businessman and Ibadan-born politician, Akinola, on behalf of the family and political caucus of the late progressive leader, Baba Alade, Alhaja Iyalaje, described Akinola as a man of the masses whom the late Alh. Gani Alade held in high esteem while alive.
“I remembered the meeting held with Baba a day to the fateful day of his death. Baba continues to emphasize while Akinola should be keenly supported in his political aspirations.” Iyalaje added.
Present at the meeting are the political sons and daughters of the late Baba Alade, widows, families, and community members.
