The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle has joined all Oyo sons and daughters in congratulating the new Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade as he emerged as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo.
According to a release made available by the Media and Public Relations Office and signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo, she stated, “the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff and Students of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo heartily rejoices with our new Kabiyesi, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade on his ascension to the throne of his forebears as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo.

The Oyo-born educationist, according to the release is hopeful that the ascension of Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade will be a blessing to Oyo town, as his esteemed position is a culmination of his illustrious career, philanthropic endeavors, and dedication to the preservation of Yoruba culture.
