Bill to Create Ibadan State Passes Second Reading

A bill seeking for the breaking of Oyo State into two different states in the National Assembly has passed the second reading

The bill as sponsored by the lawmaker representing Atiba/Afijio/Oyo West/Oyo East Federal Constituency, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi is vehemently seeking for the creation of New Oyo State with Oyo Town as Capital.

And consequently creating Ibadan State with Ibadan as Capital.

Hon. Akeem via his official Facebook page explained that, the bill is sponsored by him with  six members from Oyo and led the debate that made the House passed the second reading and sent it to the constitutional review committee for further legislative action.
