Ahead of the bye-election in Ibadan North federal constituency, stakeholders and party executives of Ward 10, Ibadan North Local Government, have thrown their support behind Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji’s candidacy as he paid a courtesy visit to seek their support.
In a statement made available to newsmen today after the ward meeting with party leaders, they unanimously said, “Omo BAO remains the proud aspirant, against all odds. He’s the most consistent progressive politician ever, who has never left the party. This is how the context of progressive politics was developed by the likes of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, so we are glad to have him from our ward, and we will rally round and offer him support and prayers to get the mandate.”
The leading House of Representatives aspirant in Ibadan North By-election, Omo Bao, while addressing party faithful and supporters from Wards 09 and 10, acknowledged their support so far and pledged his complete loyalty, promising not to disappoint them if given the mandate to fly the party ticket and represent the collective interests of Ibadan North people.

He said further, “It’s crystal clear that, in the history of the Progressive Party in the state, I have never deemed it fit to work against or leave the party. As a founding member, I have always supported the party and promoted the people’s interest, which I’m rightly sure that, if given the mandate, we shall enjoy dividends of democracy and put our constituency forward at all times.”
He appreciated the progressive leaders, party faithful, and ward supporters who donated huge amounts to both Wards 09 and 10 of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
