Commissioner Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi, who recently assumed duty as the 22nd Commissioner of Police for Delta State, has been proactive in his approach towards ensuring the security of lives and property within the state.
Recognizing the importance of community engagement and collaboration, Commissioner Olufemi has embarked on a series of courtesy and familiarization visits to all commands across Delta State since his assumption of office.
The visit to Ozoro and its surrounding communities marks another significant step in Commissioner Olufemi’s efforts to strengthen ties between law enforcement agencies and local communities.
Hosted by the esteemed Area Commander ACP Mohammed Yau, alongside PCRC members and other community leaders, the visit aims to foster dialogue, enhance mutual understanding, and address security concerns at the grassroots level.
The Ozoro Police Command extends its gratitude to the community leaders and residents of Ozoro and its environs for their warm welcome and cooperation in hosting Commissioner Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi. Together, they reaffirm the shared commitment to promoting peace, safety, and prosperity across Isoko land, Ndokwa land, and Delta State at large.
The Ozoro Area Command thanked the attendees and highlighted peaceful coexistence within his command but noted a few challenges, including cult activities, land disputes, manpower service, inadequate vehicles for patrol, and community leadership issues.
He emphasized the use of Alternate Dispute Resolution in solving major problems.
Delta State Police PRO ASP Bright Edafe introduced the CP, highlighting his outstanding achievements.
The CP was accompanied by AC Administration Tijani, Personal Assistant 1 Babakinkin, Personal Assistant 2 ASP Akomolafe, ASP Emeka Nwaze, and ASP Edafe Bright PRO.
“I am deeply committed to working hand in hand with the community to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents of Delta State,” stated Commissioner Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi.

“These familiarization visits provide invaluable opportunities to listen to the needs of the people, assess security challenges, and develop collaborative strategies to address them effectively.” He further pleaded for cooperation and support.
The attendees included Delta State PCRC members, CHIEF ENGR S .M. IKOKO, the Ozoro Area command, COMR EDWIN NWAOKOBIA, and state chairman COMR OLIVER EYEFIA who decorated CHIEF U.S. OGODOGUN as a patron by presenting an award and medal.
