Former Deputy National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and chieftain of the party in Oyo State Hon. Bolaji Afeez Repete has mourned the death of the fearless and modern Yoruba, Late Rotimi Akeredolu who was the governor of sunshine state, Ondo untill his last breath.
Repete while condoling with the family of the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN and the people of Ondo State said the departed soul was a bold, fearless and rugged political leader and Governor he has met and seen in this modern democratic era of Nigeria.
“He fought fearlessly for the Yorubas during his lifetime and feared no one ever when the struggle looked tough and rough. He stood his ground for the Yoruba when many expected to have or joined him to hide under the roof of their houses.”
“Ondo State witnessed many unprecedented developmental projects and economic prosperity under his reign as Governor.”
As an alumnus of the great Loyola College, Ibadan, Repete added that, late former Governor Akeredolu is one of the best products of the Alma mater.
“Rest in peace Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State and congratulations to the New Governor of Ondo State.” He concluded.
