OYO STATE — Name and shame the devil is a time worn cliche. I always appreciate corrections that are poignant and issue based much as I loathe speculation to whip up unnecessary sentiments. That’s why the word “anonymous” is still a strange lexicon to me.
Anxiety of untoward apprehension or what Shakespeare in Act one scene four of the “Romeo and Juliet” aptly calls misgivings about “consequences yet hanging in the air” stir up my hatred of mischievous speculation. Psychologists say, “It ties into our brain ‘s need for certainty and control hence the need to dispense with the unpredictable human emissions.
We are yet to cast the dice, and you are already shouting “foul play” What a fallacy of misjudgement.
“Fear of the unknown they say is the oldest fear of all, for it is the shadow cast by possibility.”
A release credited to Barrister Akeem Agbaje today and his unsubstantiated assertion that unmerited aspirant may be imposed on all fuelled my anxiety.
While I will not belabour myself to address recurring fire incidents ,structural reforms and other issues he raised in the release, permit me to comment on the fearless Imposition “of a spook” for governorship under APC which of course is the crux of the matter.
The release has buoyed up my guess on whom the Oyo aspirant will be, as I surmise all hands must be on deck to present a good candidate for the party at the end of the day.

The fact that he knows the person yet kept mute on his nomenclature, methinks is a serious disservice to the party.
Agbaje remarked, “Do what others are doing. Don’t wait to be imposed or don’t wait to buy the ticket. Do what others are doing.” I wonder why firing his salvos at an invisible ghost?
Coming with the philosophy of party supremacy and collaboration for party success on the coming election, it stands against logic that he should be fearing the consequences of the party primaries and credibility of its umpires when the game has not yet started.
Whilst agreeing that there should be no room for the Imposition of candidates at any level, I urge all aspirants to work assiduously for the task ahead and support whoever finally emerges as the candidate with open arms. That is the beauty of participatory democracy. Only one person will finally emerge as a party choice and the flag bearer. Unity, selflessness and oneness are advised. Together, we can!
