Moba local government; a charming, viral – cultural scene and quaint setting local government in Ekiti state has never had it this good since the return of democracy in 1999.
The phrasal word – “dividend of democracy” can be best defined by Mobas because they not only read or heard of it, they experienced and are experiencing it. That is the lot of people who know who to queue behind in an election. From youth to adult, male and female, the entire local government has been grateful to God for giving them a leader who knows where the shoe pinches and who understands the lines on the palm. Take a stroll around the agrarian town, the song in their mouth is: “This is my chairman, Hon. Bamidele Julius Fadugba, to whom I am well-pleased.” Of truth, the ancestors and the ghosts in heaven are pleased with a leader with sterling qualities, magic wand and midas touch.
Hon. Bamidele Julius Fadugba became the Executive Chairman of Moba courtesy of his qualities and loyalty. Being a grassroot mobiliser and an advocate of good governance, it was not difficult to notice him and when fate beckoned, he grasped it with grateful heart. To him, service to one’s fatherland is the greatest challenge. That is where humanity begins.
Since his inauguration, he has not ceased to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Moba through several laudable projects across the nook and cranies of the local government, irrespective of political inclinations.
The barriers to participation in Nigeria’s elections are not rooted in apathy alone but in systemic dysfunction. When politicians enrich themselves at public expense, fail to provide basic services and remain insulated from accountability, citizens naturally grow cynical and disengaged.
It is the performance that will draw voters to the polls. The best way to arouse voter’s participation is through quality service and integrity. Succinctly put, restoring public trust in the electoral system also demands broader governance and provisions of dividends of democracy. That is exactly what the amiable Chairman is currently doing.
Voting should look like a meaningful act of agency, not a futile ritual. In Moba, people’s votes count because they are enjoying the results. Within a spate of few years, Mr. Chairman has cut the mustard.
The charming Moba local government chairman is a humanist par excellence who, like Voltaire, had wit sewn to his soul. In his philosophy of life, humanity knows no tribe. Whence, he is ever borderless and botherles in his consideration.
His complete absence of ego and “self in service” have continued to be his formidable pedestal, granting him steady growth within and outside the council. Truly, he has become the cynosure of all eyes, much to the admiration of his intelligent, fashionista and photogenic wife – Mrs. Labake Ayodele Fadugba.
His Excellency is a man that has demonstrated a profound commitment to empowering his constituents and driving developmental projects that transformed lives and communities.

As part of his administration’s commitment to poverty alleviation and economic empowerment, the Executive Chairman of Moba local government empowered several hundreds of artisans with various working tools while widows laughed off their sorrow when they received gift items.
This was April 16, 2025. Other business-enhancing equipment like freezers, industrial ovens, sewing machines, motorcycle tyres, agrochemicals and operational motorcycle among others were shared without party adherence as license.
As if these were not enough, he also inaugurated a newly procured and rebuilt 500KVA transformer as well as a renovated modern marriage registry hall within the secretariat with another promise Adire Hub in the local government would soon be inaugurated.
The premier University alumni has proven himself to be a trusted and loyal servant to his people. His inspiring performance, reputation, sagacity and inventiveness have earned him popularity among various youth groups. Little wonder, he exudes love wherever he goes and enjoys a cult-like followers and tumultuous crowd who now refers to him as ” The political Connoisseur of Moba”.
The suave, urbane and humane Chairman had his elementary school at CAC Oniyanrin, Ibadan for FSLC, his O’level at Abadina college
and The polytechnic Ibadan , where he studied Business Administration Management for ND & HNd. His quest and insatiable appetite for more knowledge, like Oliver Twist propelled him to the University of Ibadan where he had B.Ed in Adult education and Masters at Ladoke Akintola University.
Verily, verily, Hon. Fadugba is a cerebral and catholic leader
