The Ibadan-born businessman, Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola of Ona-Ara Local Government has officially announced his return to the fold of the progressive party, APC, in Oyo State.
Akinjide made this known to the good people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and Oyo State at large at Oke-Ado, the headquarters of the party in Oyo State.

Kindly recall that, Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola express his intention to contest the party ticket of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the last general elections in Nigeria, and the many discrepancies and irregularities which the primary election was characterized forced him and numerous other loyalists and stakeholders out of the party to run their political intention elsewhere.
It is to note as well that, the movement out of the party was an expression to let the world know that his caliber of person cannot join hands with such obvious internal irregularities and maltreatment of him, his ambition and his followers.

Speaking with newsmen briefly, Akinjide expressed his satisfaction in resolving to return to the progressive party he was known with after spending time on sabbatical in another party which he was able to contest with.
“Of course, I thank Allah for making today a realistic one to have officially returned to APC. The time we spent outside allowed us to see the true nature of many problems facing the party and how best we could help in making sure the negative occurrences would not repeat itself and spoil the great chances of the party in all elections.”
“I have learnt the necessary lessons and skills that have further sharpened my electoral knowledge and experience. I have heard here and there as well that those who at home, APC, also learnt their lessons on why there should be a thorough and transparent internal democracy that will brighten the party’s chances at the polls.”
“As you can see here at the state office of our party, I am not the only one returning to the party. Honorable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu OFR is one there addressing the good people of Oyo State on his good intentions for the state and why there should be party supremacy and transparency, Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Hon. Rotimi Ajanaku, former ALGON Chairman, Abass Aleshinloye, Hon. Yemi Ariba, all Accord Candidates and aspirants in the last elections and many others.” He added.
“Our coming back to APC is not today. We are just doing the appropriate expectations of us officially. APC is our home. It has been for a very long time. We are fully back to join hands to further strengthen the party and make adequate plans for the next Oyo State local government election which APC is participating in and 2027 general elections as well.”
“I must thank our followers who have been with us while we are on sabbatical and who are still returning with us back home.”
“It was not an easy decision for us to leave our home, but we had no choice at that time. And now, we are back and informed.” Akinjide concluded
