Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys to Hold Nat’l Convention Saturday

The Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association (LAGSOBA) National Council will on Saturday 13th January, 2024 hold her national convention cum election of new officers.

The electioneering process has begun and the electoral committee have concluded plans to conduct free, fair and credible elections for the association.

According to the Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys electoral committee, the election will be conducted in both virtual and physical. This process is to promote inclusiveness of all Old Boys and for the association to have an all acceptable leadership voted in by majority.

GUIDELINES FOR THE LAGSOBA GENERAL ELECTION 2024

1). The Election shall be both physical and virtual

2). Virtual election will commence from 10am of Friday, 12th January, 2024 and end at 2pm Saturday, 13th January, 2024.

3). Physical election shall hold on Saturday, 13th January, 2024 at Chief Ayo Labiyi School Hall.

4). All members ofLAGSOBA would be confirmed by the master list obtained from the school (containing the full names of students who finished from the school) and/or by the respective Set’s Chairman or Secretary shall be eligible to vote.

5). All Campaigns activities on social media and otherwise should end by 12 midnight, 11th January, 2024.

6). The portal for voting shall be opened 24 hours to the voting.

7) Each voter shall be accredited with phone number/email/ account.

8). Voting is restricted to one person per vote per candidate.

9). Voters are advised to get a stable Internet connection and good browser like Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc. for voting.

10). The names/pictures of Contestants shall be made available on the ballot papers.

11). ONLINE VOTING: Commences at 12 Noon, Friday 12th January, 2024 and end 12 Noon, Saturday, January, 2024.

12). PHYSICAL VOTING: will hold at Ayo Labiyi School Hall, on Saturday, 13th January, 2024.
Voters should come with any of the following authentic means of identification either your NIN, National Driver’s License or International Passport. In case of change of name contrary to the one on the School list, voters must provide the approved change of name documents.

11). All eligible voters are encouraged to please, be guided and decent in carrying out their civic responsibilities to the LAGSOBA.

12). Whoever does not have any business with the election should stay away as the Security Agents will be fully on ground to deal with whoever plans to disrupt the activities of the day.
