While featuring on a radio programme on YES FM in Ibadan, the State Director, Dr Olukemi Afolayan, highlighted the importance of Local Government as the closest and most accessible tier to the people as the people can not engage freely with the other tiers the way they do with the local government officials in their domains.

The State Director stated on another radio programme, “Ayekooto” on Splash FM, that for the first time in the history of the local government election, over 19 parties are participating because of the trust in the Barrister Isiaka Olagunju-led OYSIEC to conduct a free and credible election.

Dr Olukemi Afolayan also featured on Compass on IBR 92.5 FM to drum support for OYSIEC and called on the citizens to troop out in an orderly and peaceful manner to vote come April 27, 2024.

Dr Olukemi Afolayan used the media engagements to urge the voters to shun electoral malpractices such as ballot stuffing, void votes, violence and other ills that may impinge on the democratic process.

Dr Olukemi Afolayan expressed optimism that with the impressive feedback the Agency has gotten from some quarters, the people are ready to use the local government election to set the pace for others to follow.
