Iseyin-born politician and a chieftain of APC in Oyo State, Hon. Teslim Kunle, popularly known as TESCOM has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his first-year anniversary as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
TESCOM in his May 29 greetings to the president appealed for more economic friendly policies that will put a smile on people’s face as the present hardship is biting harder on Nigerians owing to the petrol subsidy removal and fall of naira against foreign currencies.
In his statement, TESCOM said “No doubt about the capacity of President Bola Tinubu in leading the country. But it is important to appeal for economic policies that will sit well with Nigerians, and enhance proper economic activities as against what we have at present.”

“I agree with Mr. President’s decision to remove petrol subsidy, but removing it should usher in a lot of initiatives that will cover the effects that come with it. The non-availability of those initiatives or programs is what hit Nigerians and grounded them to a pitiable situation.”
“We cannot continue to prioritize foreign products at the expense of our locally made ones and expect miracles to happen to our economy, and most importantly, value of naira to foreign currencies. By now, agricultural policies that will motivate a large number of Nigerians to go back to farm should have been put up, and many other things.”
“Those in government must show examples in this regard.”
“We must as a nation be moving forward, and while at that, the citizens as well should not be impoverished. Citizens are the actors in the wheel of governance and country. They must not be left unattended to or subjecting them to harsh policies that will make them redundant and unproductive.”
