Honorable Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu has paid a courtesy visit to Siemens Energy Factory in Germany following President Bola Tinubu‘s meetings with German political and business leaders.
Adelabu who uses the avenue to take a tour of Siemens Energy’s Switchgear, Electrolyzes, and Gas Turbine Production factory in Berlin, Germany as to further energize the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) project of the federal government, and which is a strategic and systematic approach to solving Nigeria’s perennial power generation and distribution problems.
Kindly recall that in July 2019, the federal government signed a power project deal with the German engineering firm to deliver 7,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity to the national grid by 2021, and 11,000 megawatts by 2023 — in phases one and two of the initiative, respectively.
According to the state house official X handle, Adelabu took the tour alongside the Siemens Nigeria CEO, Seun Suleiman, and members of their management team.
