NANTS: Disregard Odunayo Danjuma’s False Statement, Leadership — Traders Association

The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS), Oyo State Chapter, dissociates itself from the baseless news made by Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma, the former Chairperson who was voted out on May 30th, 2024.

Mrs Danjuma was said to alleged the Hon. Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Investment and Babaloja of Oyo State, Alh. Y.K Abass, of imposition and marginalization.

The authenticated leadership of NANTS, Oyo State Chapter comprises the new Chairperson, Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja, and her deputy, Alhaji Usman Fatai Abolanle.

The association passed a vote of no confidence on Mrs Danjuma due to her insincerity, partisanship, and frivolity.

NANTS, Oyo state chapter, describes Mrs. Danjuma as an official interloper who aims to commercialize the association and use it as bait to amass ill-gotten wealth from political personalities.

In the last election, she directed NANTS members to work for the Accord party against the incumbent governor.

Mrs. Danjuma was removed from the association leadership on May 30th, 2024.

 

The association warned her to halt parading herself as Chairperson unless she is ready to face the wrath of the law for impersonation, character assassination, and insubordination.

The palliatives were provided by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to alleviate the economic challenges faced by the traders.

The event was also graced by officials from the Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Investment, underscoring the importance of the initiative in boosting the local economy and providing relief to those in need.

The palliatives were evenly distributed among the 12 clusters of associations making up the Oyo State Market Leaders Advisory Council.

 

The NANTS Chairperson, Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja, was present during the distribution alongside other market leaders across Oyo state.

The National Association of Nigeria Traders, NANTS Oyo State Chapter reaffirms its unwavering support for the leadership of Babaloja Alhaji YK Abbas and the government of Oyo State, under the able leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

 

According to the association Chairperson, Alhaja Rahmat Adedoja, “We commend their efforts in promoting trade, commerce, and investment in the state and pledge to work collaboratively with them to ensure the prosperity of our members and the state at large.”

 

 

 

 

“The association calls on all concerned stakeholders, both government and market leaders, to disregard Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma’s representation and hold her responsible for any unforeseen chaos in the market terrain.”
