A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State and hopeful for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Rtd. Capt. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 64th Independence Day celebration.
In his Independence Day message to Nigerians, made available by his Media Assistant, Akintunde Yusuf, Akinola believes that Nigeria’s problems are surmountable if citizens choose to be more patriotic and sacrifice their time and efforts to make things right for all.
The Ibadan-born politician stated, “I understand the current situation of Nigeria and Nigerians, but we should recognize that we can jointly conquer these problems. The situation affects all classes of society, but we need to collectively get involved in making it better for all to live.”

“As I always say, our leaders are humans like us; they are prone to making errors. It is our duty to put them back on the right track through constructive criticism, rather than resorting to abuse and curses that won’t help them but further derail them, with consequences bound to affect us all.”
“Our founding fathers faced greater challenges to achieve independence; they overcame those obstacles and liberated us. This means we can do the same if we join hands together with love and mutual respect.”
