The largest civil society organization in Nigeria, New Direction For Nigeria Movement (NEDMO), has appointed Comrade Debo Taoreed Adeniran, a seasoned human rights activist, veteran journalist, and former students union leader, as the Oyo State Coordinator.
This appointment follows the National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, confirmed by the National Convener, Chief Mark Adebayo.
NEDMO’s Mission and Vision
NEDMO aims to address Nigeria’s leadership challenges, which have hindered the country’s socioeconomic progress since independence in 1960.
The organization seeks to organize millions of Nigerians into a voting bloc to influence election outcomes, starting with the 2027 general elections. Their objective is to ensure the victory of a presidential candidate who embodies competence, patriotism, and a revolutionary vision for Nigeria’s development.
Notably, NEDMO has established state coordinators in all 36 states across Nigeria, demonstrating its commitment to widespread mobilization. This extensive network has enabled the movement to touch all the federations, fostering a sense of national unity and purpose.

To achieve its goals, NEDMO will establish coordinators in all 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), 8,340 wards, as well as representatives in 176,606 polling units nationwide. A comprehensive timetable of activities will be developed and circulated to implementation organs of the movement.
Other appointed executives include Mr. John O. Bamide as Secretary, Comrade Sunkanmi Daniel Faturoti as Organizing Secretary, and Rtd. Captain Aderemi Adekunle Adedayo as PRO.
