The National Association of Nigeria Traders (NANTS) Oyo state chapter has disassociated itself from the recent publication about the emergency of the purported New Iyaloja General of Oyo state.
The association debunked their involvement and described the NANTS representative in the gathering as a social jobber and hired interloper.
While fielding questions from the newsmen in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, the chairperson of NANTS, Princess Aderonke Adedoja, explained that the association is a respecter of the rule of law and constituted authority, and they stand for justice, peace and unity.
Notably, the selection of the Iyaloja General of Oyo State is a collective process involving the market leader council and the Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Cooperatives.
However, it is crucial to note that the market leader council has been dissolved following the expiration of its last tenure. As a result, the new leadership is yet to be created or announced by the Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Cooperatives.
For the avoidance of doubt and to reiterate NANTS Oyo State Chapter’s commitment towards accountability, we are an association that stands for the interest of our teeming members regardless of tribe or creek. And we shall never, for any reason, drive away from our core value.”
It’s well known that Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma and her cohorts are still in charge of impersonation and unauthorized acts for sycophantic reasons. NANTS Oyo state, under the able leadership of Princess Aderonke Adedoja, will continue to maintain the peace co-existence and will never sell our consciousness for monetary gain as some expelled members embark upon.
“We implored Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma and her cronies to desist from disturbing the peace of Oyo state NANTS and wait for the court verdict on the redress sought.”
Mrs Odunayo Kayode Danjuma has been the problem of traders in Oyo state for a long time, causing distress and disarray among traders.
Challenging the government and sued Chief YK Abass (The Babaloja General of Oyo state) to court.
She has also been removed, and a vote of no confidence has been meted on her by Oyo State Chapter and all the Southwest States of NANTS. Parading herself as Chairperson or Southwest coordinator of NANTS is an insubordination and charade.

“Once again, we NANTS Oyo state chapter, under the leadership of Princess Aderonke Adedoja, brazenly confirmed the recent publication of one Mr Layi Olawoyin to be a NANTS representative.
“Mr. Olawoyin has truly acted in the allotted role well, as his paid service ended after the publication. Mr. Theophilus Layi Olawoyin’s affiliation with the Men and Women Association can’t be denied as we urge you to desist from the heinous act to avoid the wrath of the law.”
Princess Adedoja concluded by commending the National Association of Nigeria Traders NANTS members for their unusual resilience, support, and cooperation so far. She reaffirmed her usual service for the progress and growth of the NANTS.
