Oyo: NOA Director Assure Nigerians that Government is Responsive to their Demands

Dr Afolayan assured Nigerians that the government is responsive to their demand through NOA’s feedback. She cited examples of these demands as revamping the refineries, focus on agriculture sector and distribution of palliatives to the citizens among other demands.

The NOA State Director stated this in a radio interview today as part of the Agency’s sensitisation drive to ensure a well informed citizenry during the Christmas season.

In a Release by the media unit of the Agency, Dr Afolayan who featured on Tanwonyo Expo on Amuludun 99.1 FM anchored by Olubumi Adigun, this afternoon highlighted the mandates of NOA especially its responsibilities during the festive period.

Dr Afolayan maintained that the duties of NOA to keep citizens well informed and passing their reactions in form of feedback loops to the government is a continuous process, but she emphasised that NOA is particularly engaging the commuters, drivers, road users etc. in this period to ensure the safety of all citizens traveling around the country to celebrate Christmas.

The State Director appealed to the citizens to cut down on unnecessary expenses and celebrate Yuletide modestly. She also enjoined the citizens especially youths not to engage in criminal activities during the period.

The State Director also counselled youths to shun drug abuse and all forms of criminalities. She enjoined them to engage in productive activities as well as skills acquisition to tackle unemployment.

On the forthcoming local government elections in the State, she said the Agency is already working with OYSIEC to mobilise all residents of Oyo state for mass participation in the election.
