The Oyo state chapter of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) held her annual Christmas ‘Xmas’ Carol program at the state office of the agency.
Welcoming guests, staff, and other dignitaries to the event, the NOA State director, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan in her speech on behalf of the Director-General of the agency, warmly welcomed all to that annual epoch event.
“We are using today’s Xmas Carol event as an opportunity to relate and celebrate together among ourselves and stakeholders after an eventful year.”
“For us as an agency, our task has become more challenging amidst so many divisive tendencies in the country and dwindling resources of the agency.”
Olukemi further added, “With all sense of responsibility, Oyo NOA staffers are more than ever before committed to the task of building a strong, united and prosperous nation. I salute all these patriots, the Lord of Christmas will bless them all.”
Giving goodwill messages, representative of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Security (DSS), State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), community leaders and other agencies present unanimously eulogize the impactful roles that NOA has been carrying out in the society.
The Christmas Carol Chairperson, former State Director, Dr. Mrs. Dosunmu encouraged staff of the agency to continue giving their best to the agency and ensure the mandate of the agency is actualized, protected and preserved.
Dosumu further appreciates the effort which the state director, Dr. Afolayan is putting on the line for the agency and efforts to make the agency a center of orientation and cultural appropriation in the society.
Also speaking to newsmen, Prince Adeshola Sanda, Oyo NOA Deputy Director and Chairman of the Xmas Carol Committee gives special thanks to God for making the event an eventful one.
He explained that it is an annual event in the agency in Oyo state, and the aim of the program is to bring people together to thank God and pray for the nation as we all prepare to journey another twelve calendar months of 2024.
“I want to appeal to Nigerians that we should be hopeful and remain hopeful for this nation. We should start and incorporate the habit of praying for the country and her leaders.” He concluded.
Dignitaries present at the Xmas Carol program are; Pastor and Mrs. Adelegan, former Oyo NOA Director, Dr. Mrs. Dolapo Dosunmu, ASP Adeosun from NPF, ACC Alao Balogun from NSCDC, Mrs. E. F. Obiloh from DSS, and Mr. Adeyemi A. A. from SUBEB.
Others are Pastor Joshua Omodayo from FRSC, Mrs. Adebayo from PCC, Mr. Adewumi Faniran, Olusola Otunuga from FRCN, religious and community leaders.
