The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Oyo State Directorate, and The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command on Tuesday, renewed their partnership for excellent performance.
The joint resolve to curtail crime in the state was the outcome of the courtesy visit of the Commandant NSCDC to NOA, Oyo State Director.

Oyo State NOA Director, Dr Olukemi Afolayan, who received the Commandant in the audience described the visit as timely for better partnership.
Praising the NSCDC for their meritable role in mitigating crime in Oyo State, Dr. Afolayan stressed the need for partnership to nip crime in the bud using a grassroots sensitization approach.
She pointed out that since both Agencies are community-based, their collaboration will lead to intelligence gathering and early warning that will put a stop to crime in the State.
Dr. Afolayan stated that part of the mandate of the Agency is “Value Re-Orientation for a Crime Free Society” as well as mobilizing citizens for peaceful coexistence.
The Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC, Padonu Augustine in his response, emphasized that NSCDC enjoys a good relationship with NOA, especially at the grassroots level where they are both present.
He reiterates the Oyo State command’s readiness to partner with NOA for a peaceful and safe Oyo State.
The NSCDC team included some Deputy Commandants and other Management staff of the Oyo State Command.
The highlight of the visit was an exchange of gifts by both Agencies. The national flag was presented by the NOA team to their guests. This, the Director NOA said, symbolizes the patriotic roles both Agencies are playing in nation-building.
