BREAKING: "Stop the 2027 Guber Ambition Campaign" — Dotun Sanusi tells Supporters

Despite his plea to lovers and well-wishers campaigning for him to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde in 2027 to stand down the move, a group, Oyo Development Network, has insisted that Engr Dotun Sanusi is the right person to continue from where the incumbent would stop.

Musibau Anibire, who speaks from the group in a chat with some newsmen as reported by  OYOINSIGHT.COM, said that why they also believe that Sanusi’s future is in God’s hand, it has become important for the people and groups in the state to be part of decision making and this, he said, can be done by fishing out best candidates to govern the people at different levels.

”Engr. Dotun Sanusi has not told us he would contest or not. He has not joined any party. Our group, together with others, are at the forefront of talking to him to run for the exalted position.

“People may want to say that we are doing this because he is wealthy. No. There are many wealthy individuals who are also wealthy but none comes close to Engr. Dotun Sanusi. In the last decade, no one has shown empathy to the people, especially the less-privileged in the society. Apart from that, he has put smiles on the faces of many.

“We remember how in the build up to the 2023 election, he mobilized us to vote for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election. Some of us were part of the mobilization and I can say boldly that this man didn’t take a kobo from the duo for his support. All he wanted was people would change the fortune of the country and make more people less-dependent.

“The establishment of Ilaji Resorts which also houses a world class sports complex at Ona Ara Local Government has turned the hitherto remote rural community to a haven for dignitaries, athletes and sports lovers.”

The group also recalled that aside empowering youths with the establishment of a sports academy, Sanusi has also further boosted the prestige of Oyo State as a Pacesetter by bringing electric and CNG buses into the state.

All these, including his ICAST, has generated thousands of employment for residents of the state.

The group said given his massive benevolence, Engr. Dotun Sanusi deserved to be entrusted with the political leadership of the State.
