Presenting the YAN ‘Award of Excellence’, the Chairman Speakers’ Forum, Amb Usman Saidu congratulates Hon. Akinjide for meriting the honor owing to his unrelenting support towards youths and student activities in the country.
“Not only supporting youths and students, Hon. Akinjide has been contributing towards the support and development of the downtrodden in the society,” Saidu added.
Accepting the award, Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola thanks the group, Y.A.N., for deeming him worthy of a prestigious honor and award of excellence, and as the patron of the noble association.
Akinjide further added “I am happy for this honor once again; it is a call for more service to the nation and humanity. And we need to join hands together as youths and contribute our quota towards the development and emancipation of this nation. Nigeria is ours.”
“We must not wait for our fathers to leave the stage before we step in to make an impact in this country.”
“It is important for us to join them as partners and allow them to trust us with responsibilities for them to further trust the life of this nation in our hands. That is what is lacking, and why youths are lagging in the area of participation in government. It is time to be more active and involved in the government process.”
“Thank God the present government is engaging more youths in governance. It is a thing of joy that those engaged so far are making waves for the youth constituency to be proud of them.”
“The world revolves around the youth. We have to move with it and not allow it to slip away. It is our time. Let’s make the best use of it.” Akinjide concluded.
At the award presentation Com. Nicholas Uzor (Deputy Speaker, Enugu State), Com. Gabi Jubril (Dir. Programs, Niger State) and Hon. Sarah Ayobami (Minority Leader, Edo State).
